Game Title: 3 O'Clock Horror

About the game: 3 O’clock Horror is a short escape-the-room-inspired experience that draws inspiration from other horror games like Resident Evil and Faith, as well as Lovecraftian tales. It combines these influences to create a single, short horror experience that can be easily replayed to achieve different endings.

This game features a total of 3 endings and a full mansion to explore. The mansion is inhabited by 3 enemies that will "wake up" at different times during the player's exploration. As is common in horror games, parts of the story unfold through notes and messages left behind on the mansion walls.

What I did:

  • Led a team of 9 students through the design of the game
  • Designed puzzles and the level design flow of the game
  • Designed the background art for all the rooms and a few items for puzzles and decoration
  • Wrote and fine tuned the story behind the game and restructured the way the protagonist tells the story based on events happening in the game
  • Completely built and released the game on Steam as a free-to-play title
  • Optimized the game for android phones and re-designed UI for touchscreen

About the game: This game offers a brief yet dynamic blend of platformers and Tetris. Its unique feature lies in the ever-changing path to the top of the map, ensuring a distinct experience with each playthrough. All blocks are randomly selected and placed, cascading down the grid. As the game progresses, difficulty increases with strategic stop points to clear the screen and events gradually erasing the floor, leaving only the Tetris blocks. To assist players, two power-ups are available: one for increased speed and another enabling a second jump.

What I did:

  • Led and design the project with the team
  • delegate meaningful tasks that would help the project finish in time while keeping the intended experience
  • Design mechanics, powerups, and level design challenges for the player to experience during the level
  • Help with debugging the 3D blocks, their spawn point and delete areas
  • Design and implementation of the title screen of the game, as well as menu options during gameplay

Game Title: Antidote

About the game: Antidote is an engaging cure-finding experience where players step into the role of a scientist dedicated to manufacturing a remedy for a challenging pathogen. The game mechanics revolve around experimenting with various stats in the lab and meticulously documenting the most effective strategies to eliminate the pathogen while minimizing harm to neutral cells.

What I did:

  • Programmed cell behaviors for pathogen, neutral, and modified cells that the player can control
  • Added the flocking for the cells to walk together as a pack of cells and attack together and reproduce
  • Created a selecting menu for doctors that can help the player find the cure
  • Implemented art and animation on Unity
  • Helped design the choose mechanic of the game and link the results with the modifiable cells
